    Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac

Anyone heard anything about these? The tread pattern looks like a nice cross between a AT / MT.

I thought you weren't allowed to start anymore tire threads??

The tread does look good though..what site did you see a review for them at?

Couldn't really find too much about them on the internet. No reviews. Looks like they just came out. Didn't know if anyone heard anything about them. I found them on www.discounttire.com

looks more open than a BFG AT and goodyear's current silent armor, but i agree that GY's are overpriced.

    Overpriced compared to what?
My mtrs have kept going while others replaced bfgs, swampers, etc due to sidewall damage. The only place mtrs suck is in mud.

They sorta remind me of something Pit Bull would make. Yuck. The more I look at them, the less I like them.

Overpriced? Compared to Maxxis Bighorns, Bridgestone, and the off brands.

Don't like them. Goodyears are priced too high for my taste. They've topped BF Goodrich and Michelin in the price category. That tread pattern doesn't really make much sense to me...tighter spaced lugs in the center, and very open outer lugs. They'll clog up just like all the other A/T tires.

Seems Goodyear is doing some re-designing and releasing a lot of new tires lately. They've got a new MT/R Kevlar also, with the most retarded tread pattern I've ever seen. A combination of Truxus STS and Mickey Baja Claw treads...

If I wanted to hear from an ass, I'd fuckin fart.

No idea on the current tires, but I had awesome luck with the Goodyear MTR's. Those things took a hell of a beating, got me where I needed to go (amazing in Moab even in the sand area's) and weren't overpriced at least when I bought them.

I have bighorns on my gf's wj she does not mud it so I can't tell you how good they are on that department. They seem to wear good on the road. But holy **** are they loud. They are ten times louder than my 35in claws. Like I said they wear good but those will be the last set of those that I buy.

I had them on my TJ. They were significantly quieter and smoother than my MTRs. I also paid $600 for 4 in 35" flavor. They balanced better than any other aggressive tire I have ever used.

Maybe it is just the set I got, I don't understand why. I keep them rotated but these things really scream.

Have a look at this. The MTRs are actually cheapest (aside from the Dunlops) with the $50 rebate.

Have you looked at the General Grabber AT2? Its almost identical to the BFG A/T with better wear life, and a slightly more open tread pattern. More affordable also. I put a set on my Silverado and couldn't be happier.

Yeah, those look pretty sweet for an all-around truck tire.

I looked at the Grabbers but went back to the Dueler AT Revos. I love those things. I got 39K out of them on the Dodge. It's a heavy sumbitch (and I tow a lot), so tires don't last terribly long on it. 39K isn't bad. They absolutely rock in the snow and rain.

I too tow/haul/drive like an asshole, and my truck is on the heavier side also. The Grabbers in a E-Rated 10ply got excellent reviews among those who tow, and plow snow. Two things that take terrible tolls on a tire.

I'm surprised you're having such luck w/ Revos. My dad had them on his Tundra, and ate them up in 10k!

Shit, I only rotated them twice. They wore perfect. Did his wear bad in the front end? Maybe an IFS thing?

How long ago was this that you had them? Where from?

Looking at what is usually the cheapest source, National Tire in Wheeling, they're just shy of $200 a pop. I believe they're just a few cents off of the KM2's which is currently the top tire in my short list in 35" flavors. Unless the KM2 gets released in a 37x x x15 soon.
