What color should I paint it?

I decided I'm going to paint the motor and add some accent colors (corners, etc) to the Jeep.

I'm stuck between orange (either Chevy or Kubota) or yellow. The TJ is black. I'm a huge fan of yellow and black, but orange and black doesn't look bad either.

Aye, the Hemi orange is very similar to Kubota, it's a little darker than the Chevy orange.

I'm going to do the cage, rockers, rear corners, motor, trans, case.

I need to go find some pics to see what the combos look like from guys that have already done it.

Depends on if you're a Steelers fan. The "Terrible TJ". I think orange/black looks good with a TINY bit of purple or green. Tiny like wire looms, zip-ties, pinstripes, etc.

I personally would go for Copperhead Orange Pearl (used on Stacey David's Copperhead C10 truck from the original Trucks!) --- I also like the Viper.

If you were going just engine, I'd say yellow. I'd also ask why you would go to the effort to paint an engine unless it was already out for another reason.

Since you're doing corners too, Orange all the way. I have a yellow Jeep and regret every ounce of yellow I've sprayed onto it.

I think green went into contention yesterday. I *really* like the antifreeze green they painted the S10 truggy on Extreme 4x4, though I know I would never be motivated enough to properly paint it. It's probably going to be a spray bomb job, then again I might talk to the paint guy at DLK and see what it would cost me to get get into a inexpensive gun with the right paint, primer and other associated items.

I poked a hole through a cylinder with the rod / wristpin. The new block and head is at the machine shop getting worked over, along with the 4.2 crank

I'm really leaing towards orange at this point. I did the same thing with my toolbox, orange or yellow. I ended up with orange. I might as well keep the theme.

ya, personally yellow sucks... it seems almost as flashy as chrome, snd its hard to get it to match with a lot of colors...it has limitations....

you cant paint a chrysler motor orange!! haha thats a kick in the face for chevy!! haha

take pics of your jeep and then piss with it in ms paint, its pretty not close, but if you stand back it'll give you a ballpark...

im usin it now for cage ideas, its crude and is a PITA, but its makin me more and more creative....
